Our Work
The King Foundation is collecting oral histories from farmers and people who are or have been involved in the agricultural community in Sussex County. Audio and visual recordings of those interviews will be archived as record for future generations.
History is written by people who study documents left behind such as personal diaries, letters, and other correspondence. All of these materials are worthy of preservation, but nothing brings history to life like someone telling their own story in their own words. Listening to someone speak their own truth can be a transformative experience.
